Team Construction Doubles up ARCA/CRA Super Series Clean Sweep Award for 2017
Salem, IN (November 16, 2016) – Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS officials are pleased to announce that Team Construction has agreed to continue its sponsorship of the Team Construction Clean Sweep Award with the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS for the upcoming 2017 race season, the 21st season of competition for the ARCA/CRA Super Series.
Team Construction is happy to announce that they are going to “Double Up” their bonus for the 2017 season. For the past seven years, the Team Construction Clean Sweep Award consisted of a $100 cash bonus if an event’s fast qualifier can also win that same event. Starting in 2017 the bonus will be $200 per event if an event’s fast qualifier can also win that same event. If the fast qualifier fails to win, the $200 cash bonus is then rolled over to the next event until an events fast qualifier wins that same event. After a fast qualifier wins, the award starts over again at $200.
“We have really enjoyed sponsoring this unique award with the ARCA/CRA Super Series,” remarked Team Construction President Donnie Mingus. “We decided to double the bonus for the award for 2017, to give some racers the opportunity to collect some big bonuses during the season. We have enjoyed our involvement with CRA the past seven years and look forward to a great 2017 season!”
During the 2016 season, Cody Coughlin was the only driver to collect a Team Construction Clean Sweep Award. The 2016 series Champion collected a $1,200 bonus at Winchester Speedway on Labor Day, after being the EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier, then winning the Winchester 100. $200 of that $1200 bonus carried over from the 2015 season.
The Team Construction Clean Sweep Award for the ARCA/CRA Super Series 200 lap event with the CRA SpeedFest 2017 at Crisp Motorsports Park, home of Watermelon Capital Speedway, on Sunday, January 29th, 2017 will be worth $400, with the $200 carry over from the 2016 season.
