Bonuses Announced for CRA Late Model Sportsman Return to Mt. Lawn Speedway
Increased Start Money Will Benefit All Teams
(Salem, IN) – Champion Racing Association (CRA) Powered by JEGS officials have announced additional bonuses for the upcoming Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman event at Mt. Lawn Speedway which will take place on Sunday, May 28th. After a multi-year layoff, special event racing returned to Mt. Lawn in 2016, with a limited, but highly successful five race schedule. The Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman will be part of the race program for the 2017 season opening event at Mt. Lawn Speedway.
With the support of Van Hoy Oil and Stanley Show Pigs, there will be a $300 bonus, a $200 bonus and a $100 bonus to the top three finishers in the 75 lap Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman feature at Mt. Lawn Speedway, that have never raced a late model of any kind at the unique facility just outside of New Castle, IN. Officials are working on securing additional sponsors for even more bonuses to be announced.
“We would like to thank Van Hoy Oil and Stanley Show Pigs for helping sponsor these great bonuses for our Mt. Lawn Speedway event,” remarked R.J. Scott, Managing Partner with CRA. “We are really excited to be racing again at Mt. Lawn and look forward to having a great race with some nice bonuses for some of the racers that help support that event!”
In addition to the bonuses, the purse will be increased to a minimum of $200 to start. Officials are actively looking for additional sponsors to take the guaranteed minimum to $250 to start.
The event will be the fourth stop on the CRA Late Model Sportsman 2017 season schedule, and becomes more special as the winner of the Mt. Lawn event would become automatically eligible for the “CRA Chase for the Championship” if they race in only 75% of the series races in 2017. CRA officials hope to announce more special bonus programs for this event in the near future, if anyone is interested in sponsoring any additional bonus programs for the Mt. Lawn event, please contact CRA.
