2017 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Champion Jack Dossey III to make ARCA Racing Series Debut Sunday
Salem, IN (April 19, 2018) – 2017 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance Champion Jack Dossey III will make his ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards debut this Sunday on the famous High Banks of Salem Speedway. Dossey recently tested his #99 Jack Dossey Motorsports Toyota at Salem, a track he is familiar with, having raced there in 2016 and 2017 with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. Dossey finished second in last year’s JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour event at Salem to winner Jack Smith.
“There is a night and day difference between the JEGS Tour late models and the bigger heaver ARCA cars,” remarked Dossey. “I learned a lot at the test. It was good we went. I think this could be big for my career and the team. Right now, I couldn’t feel any better about the upcoming race!”
Dossey added,” I think I have an advantage because it’s such a rough track,” it’s like a combination of three tracks in one. Turns 1 and 2 are a lot like Anderson, and 3 and 4 remind me of Winchester. Anderson and Winchester are my two favorite tracks. So Salem will probably be one, too. “
Dossey will have several former CRA competitors competing against him at Salem including two time ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion Travis Braden, who is competing in the full 2018 ARCA Racing Series schedule. Several drivers who have competed in ARCA/CRA Super Series events the past several seasons are entered including Chase Purdy, Christian Eckes, Riley Herbst, Bret Holmes, Natalie Decker, Zane Smith and CRA SpeedFest 2018 winner Chandler Smith. Also Joe Graf Jr. who made a couple of JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour starts in 2017 is entered.
The Jack Dossey Motorsports Team currently plans to compete in two other ARCA Racing Series events in September at Lucas Oil Raceway and back at Salem Speedway. The team will begin its defense of its 2017 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour title in the series season opener next weekend at Birch Run Speedway. The team will also make select ARCA/CRA Super Series starts again in 2018.
