Jon Beach Heads to Music City; Starts 2018 in Nashville
Special from Jon Beach Racing – After having a career high in top-5 finishes, including four in a row, during the 2017 season Jon Beach and his JBR racing team have decide to change their focus for 2018 racing season. In years past Jon would circle the big races on the fast high banks around the Mid-West on his budgeted calendar. With the help from some additional funding the passionate racer plans to participate in all twelve races with the ARCA/CRA Super Series and contend for a points championship.
The 2018 season will kick off this Saturday in Nashville, TN, at the famed Fairgrounds Speedway. This will be the team’s second trip to Music City, the first since 2007 when Jon was racing with the USA Modified Tour. In what is becoming one of the biggest races around the country the JBR #1 will have some of the best talent from around the country and Canada to compete against. Currently there are thirty-eight super late model drivers registered for the 100 lap race.
Friday the JBR team will be on track for just second time since October of last year, including a practice session at one of Jon’s local tracks to shake down, and looks to have a solid base line to fine tune in preparation for Saturday’s big race. Three hours of practice is all that is available to teams on Friday. Additionally there will be a one-hour thrash practice prior to qualifying on Saturday. The limited time for practice and the quality of the competition makes all of the off season work and preparation of the utmost importance. Jon is hands down one of the hardest working racers in North America both on and off the track.
