Hoosier Announces Additional Right-Side Tire for Late Model Sportsman at Winchester Speedway
Salem, Indiana (September 18, 2018) – Hoosier Race Tires officials announced today that they will be building an additional right-side tire for the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman for use at the season’s final championship event at Winchester Speedway on October 13th. The Hoosier D850 will be an option for teams to use, in addition to the existing D800 options.
Hoosier responded to the requests of many drivers for a more durable option at the high-speed Winchester Speedway. Following testing last week, Hoosier chose the 8.0/27.0-15 D850 to assist the drivers. The tire is identical in construction to the D800, with only a compound change to combat the heat and wear that right-side tires experience at Winchester. Chalk marks for the tire will be 85.75 inches, plus or minus .5 inches.
Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman teams will be required to race on the same combination of D800’s and D850’s that they qualify on.
