Entry Form Released for ARCA/CRA Super Series Season Points Opener at Anderson Speedway
Salem, IN (March 1, 2019) – ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS officials have released the entry form for the series 2019 season points opener at Anderson Speedway on Saturday, April 6th. That event will be the first of 12 point events scheduled for the ARCA/CRA Super Series during the 2019 season, the 23rd season of competition for the series.
Anderson Speedway is where the series had its first ever event on Saturday, April 26, 1997. April 6th will be the 65th series event that Anderson Speedway has hosted since that Saturday in 1997, the most of any track the series has raced at. April 6th will be the only opportunity for the ARCA/CRA Super Series teams to get some racing on the tight quarter mile prior to the prestigious Redbud 400, which will take place on Monday, July 15th.
Anderson Speedway is once again posting $5,000 for the winner of the April 6th 125 lap event, an increase of $2000 over the normal winner’s payout for a 125 lap event. 2018 ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion Josh Brock picked up his first ever CRA win in this event last year. Brock would go on to claim the ARCA/CRA Super Series 2018 Chase for the Championship at the Winchester 400, his first ever Championship with CRA.
The April 6th event will be the first event in the “CRA Road to Bristol” program for teams in the ARCA/CRA Super Series. The winner of the April 6th event will have a guaranteed starting spot in the Short Track U. S. Nationals at Bristol Motor Speedway100 lap Super Late Model feature, if that team does not make it in through qualifying. The Short Track U. S. Nationals at Bristol Motor Speedway will take place on May 31st and June 1st this season.
There will be an open practice at Anderson Speedway on Friday, April 5th, pits open at 3pm and practice will run from 4pm until 7pm. Pits open on Saturday, April 6th at 11:30am. Practice will begin at 2pm with qualifying starting at 4:30pm. The race program will begin at 6pm and will include the 125-lap feature for the ARCA/CRA Super Series. Also, on that evenings race program will be the Anderson Speedway Street Stocks and Figure 8’s in a night full of stock car racing action.
