$5000 to win Crown Jewel Event Up Next for the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks at Baer Field Motorsports Park
Salem, IN (July 2, 2019) – The Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks Powered by JEGS will return to action this Friday and Saturday, July 5th and 6th at Baer Field Motorsports Park, for the 60 lap $5,000 to win Crown Jewel special non-points event on the 3/8’s mile track at Baer Field. The Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks will be part of a historic huge weekend of racing at Baer Field Motorsports Park, the three day event will also feature a $20,000 to win ICAR Modifieds All-Star Tour event, the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman and the Victory Custom Trailers CRA Junior Late Models.
Saturday will only be the fourth event of the 2019 season for the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks after having two events canceled because of weather, one at Lucas Oil Raceway and at Salem Speedway and three Four Crown events that have been rescheduled at Shadybowl Speedway, Mt. Lawn Speedway and most recently at Anderson Speedway because of weather.
The series opened their 2019 season at Anderson Speedway on April 13th, were Bret Miles Jr. got the victory over hard charging Brett Hudson. Chuck Barnes Jr. got the win in the Short Track U. S. Nationals presented by Vore’s Welding event at Bristol Motor Speedway on June 1st. Jake Hinton was the series most recent winner at Baer Field this past Saturday night in the Crown Jewel tune-up event.
Here is how the starting field will be determined for the 60 lap $5,000 to win Crown Jewel event. All cars will single car qualify. Cars will be staggered into six 10-lap heats (ex: FQ in heat one, 2nd fast in heat two, etc). Heats will have a four-car invert. Top three transfer to Crown Jewel A-Main. Teams that transfer from heats must use same tires in Crown Jewel A-Main. Two 20-lap B-Mains staggered and lined straight up from heat race finishes. Top 3 from each B-Main transfer to A-Main.
The 60 lap $5,000 to win Crown Jewel Field will be made up of 18 cars from heats, 6 cars from B-mains, and the two fastest cars that didn’t transfer from heats or B-Mains. Field line up based on heat race results, then b-main results, then 2 fastest from times. (Winner of first heat on pole, winner of 2nd heat starts second, etc). Promoter may add additional starters to the tail of the field at his discretion.
On Friday, Pits open at 10am. Practice will begin at 12noon. The Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks will qualify at 3:45pm. Racing will begin at 6pm with the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks 10-lap heat races.
On Saturday, pit gates open at 8am. Practice will begin at 9am, with the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks warm-up session at 2:30pm. The Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stock B Mains will take place at 4pm. The race program will begin at 5:15pm and will include the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks 60 lap $5,000 to win Crown Jewel event.
