Hunter Jack Looking to Ride Momentum into Anderson
Special from Hunter Jack Racing: Auburn, IN (July 11, 2019) – Monday July 15 will mark the 53rd annual Redbud 400 in Anderson, Indiana. Super Late Model racers from across the country will compete in the prestigious event, Hunter Jack included.
Hunter has been on a bit of a hot streak lately with a win, a 3rd, and a 6th place finish in his last three races. Last Sunday, he competed in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour at his home track, Baer Field Motorsports Park. Hunter posted the 2nd quick time for Baer Field’s Crown Jewel 100 lapper. After leading much of the first portion of the race, a few cautions would turn the lead over to eventual winner, Brian Campbell. Hunter was excited to bring home another podium finish at his home track. After a stretch of hard side-by-side racing, Hunter even received praise from the feature event winner, “Brian Campbell said in his race recap that I’m a pretty good driver which made me feel good and boosts my confidence!”
Hunter has a lot to look forward to as he prepares for the 400 lap feature at Anderson Speedway. His most recent win came in a JEGS/CRA All-Stars event at Anderson, which was his first with the tour. Hunter stated “I am so ready to get back to Anderson Speedway for the Redbud 400! We just won the JEGS race there 2 weeks ago, so we have some really good notes that we can apply for our Super Late Model. I also learned so much in the race!” Having the experience and the know-how to get it done, Hunter is ready to take on the ¼ mile track for 400 laps on Monday.
This is not Hunter’s first attempt at the Redbud 400. “We almost had a top-5 finish in last year’s Redbud 400 when we were hit and got shuffled back. We were still able to finish 7th. I’m hoping we can stay out of trouble and get the big win!” he said of his 2018 attempt.
The ARCA/CRA Super Series Redbud 400 is on Monday July 15. Qualifying will start at 4:45 p.m. while racing action begins at 7:00 p.m. There will also be an autograph session with the Super Series drivers at 6:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased for $25, while children (6-12) are just $4. The event will also be streamed live on pay-per-view courtesy of Speed51.com.
