$500 or a Starting Spot in Super Select Up for Grabs
Special from Speed51.com – Before the Speed51 Super Select on September 7 at Lucas Oil Raceway (IN), one Super Late Model driver will have a very tough decision to make. Will they take a $500 bonus presented by the Speed51 Network and a trophy home as the winner of the “The Open” race, or give back the money to parlay that win into a chance at an even bigger payday?
Prior to the 75-lap invitational for Super Late Model racing’s all-stars, there will be the 50-lap “Open” for drivers without an invitation to the invitation-only race. That race will be a chance to race into the Super Select field, with a to-be-determined number of drivers transferring into the main event.
Winning “The Open” comes with a decision, however; collect $500 for your efforts in that race, or forfeit the cash prize to enter the Super Select, where first place pays $10,000 – and second place doesn’t pay at all.
If the winner of “The Open” qualifying race decides to take the money and run, the second-place finisher will be offered a starting spot in the Speed51 Super Select. Likewise, the $500 bonus will be given to the second-place finisher if the winner of the “The Open” accepts the starting spot.
The number of drivers to transfer from “The Open” to the Speed51 Super Select is yet to be determined, but will likely range between two to four drivers and is tentative and subject to change. Transferring drivers will start at the rear of the Speed51 Super Select field for the 75-lap main event.
Numerous advertising routes exist for the inaugural Speed51 Super Select, including a Hard Charger Award, Best Appearing Car, Bold Move of the Race award and just about anything else someone can come up with.
Companies are encouraged to email Bob Dillner at bd51sports@gmail.com and/or Adam Mackey at Adam.TrackEnterprises@gmail.com for more information regarding advertising with the Speed51 Super Select.
A pair of features will be contested on September 7, one for the Super Late Models and a 100-lap race for the USAC Silver Crown Series. There will also be a 50-lap Super Late Model race that will be open to all drivers to compete in. That race will transfer more drivers into the Super Select field.
