Demland Ready to Compete for the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Championship in 2020
Salem, IN (January 14, 2020) – Fort Wayne, Indiana native Brian Demland has announced that he will return to compete full-time with the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Series Powered by JEGS in 2020. Demland was the series 2019 Rookie of the Year and finished fifth in series points in his first ever full-time season behind the wheel of a Late Model Sportsman.
“All in all, last year, our first season in a Late Model, was a pretty good year for me,” remarked Demland. “I feel with what I learned throughout this past season that we have made a huge step forward in our program and that will hopefully carry over into the 2020 season for us. I’m looking forward to racing again with the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman, we plan to do the entire 2020 schedule and compete for the 2020 Chase for the Championship.”
Demland competed in all nine series events in 2020, getting four top ten finishes with a best finish of seventh on Baer Field Motorsports Park 3/8’s mile track in July. Demland made the Chase for the Championship in 2019 but did not make the final four drivers’ group who raced for the season Championship at Winchester Speedway on Winchester 400 Weekend. Demland was officially crowned the series 2019 Rookie of the Year at the 2019 CRA Awards Banquet on Friday, January 3rd as well as being recognized for finishing fifth in the series 2109 points.
Demland added, “The Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman competitors are a great group of guys to race with. I love the challenge of going to a different race track each event, and I really enjoy some of the unique tracks on the schedule like Mt Lawn Speedway. My goal in 2020 is to have a lot of fun, be competitive, and really improve my program so we can be a contender for the Championship!”
The 2020 season for the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman is scheduled to begin on Sunday, April 5th in the Annual Cabin Fever event at Lucas Oil Raceway. More information on all the CRA series is available at www.cra-racing.com.
