COVID-19 State Regulations in Michigan Force Cancellation of CRA Super Series Event
Due to regulations enforced in the state of Michigan, the Champion Racing Association event for the ARCA / CRA Super Series at Kalamazoo Speedway this year has been canceled.
Event Promoters Gary Howe (Track Operator) and Bob Dillner (Promoter) made the decision today based on the uncertain attendance regulations in the state of Michigan due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event was scheduled for Wednesday, August 5.
“With no knowledge of what will be in place regulation-wise, we feel it is in the best interest of everyone to cancel the event for this year,” said Bob Dillner. “With all the uncertainty in Michigan, we wanted to give the fans and the teams an opportunity make plans to enjoy other races around the Midwest that week, like the Dixieland 250 for the ARCA Midwest Tour at Wisconsin Int’l Raceway on (Tuesday) August 4.”
Kalamazoo Speedway does get back to racing action this Friday with the Intimidator 100 for the Outlaw Late Models. The speedway will operate with 250 person capacity for its grandstand ticket purchases.
