Pair of CRA Labor Day Weekend Events Announced
Champion Racing Association (CRA) officials have announced a pair of racing events on Labor Day Weekend, with four of the sanctioning body’s series in action over the holiday. These events will give CRA competitors a place to race in light of the cancellation of the World Stock Car Festival at Winchester Speedway (IN).
In place of the World Stock Car Festival, the ARCA/CRA Super Series Super Late Models and JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Pro Late Models will be in competition at a different race track during the holiday weekend. Details will be announced in the next day or two about this event.
The Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman and Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks will race at Mt. Lawn Speedway along with local divisions. Colby Lane won a CRA Street Stock race at the unique Indiana track earlier this year, while the CRA Late Model Sportsman racers will visit the track this Sunday, August 16.
Further details regarding both of those new Labor Day events, including dates and times for those races, will be announced very soon.
“We are disappointed that we won’t be at Winchester Speedway for Labor Day weekend this year,” said RJ Scott of CRA. “However, we are very excited about the two racetracks that are taking on events for our racers.”
While the World Stock Car Festival will not be taking place due to COVID regulations, the 49th Annual Winchester 400 is still proceeding as planned for October 9-11. The event promises to draw some of the top Late Model racers in the country for the crown jewel race, which also serves as the championship final for four CRA series.
