Entry Forms Now Available for 49th Winchester 400
Special from Speed51.com – Entry forms are now available for the 49th Winchester 400 at the historic Winchester Speedway, scheduled for Sunday, October 11. The event is one of the marquee Super Late Model races in the country, featuring the stars of the ARCA/CRA Super Series as well as top-notch Late Model racers who travel to Indiana each year for the crown jewel race.
The Winchester 400 is 400 laps, counting cautions, with 12 tires available to each race team. The event will once again feature controlled cautions in an effort to save teams the cost of bringing in professional pit crews. When a yellow flag comes out, teams will have two laps to service their race car without losing laps or positions on pit road. Those cars will then line up behind the cars that did not pit at that yellow.
Teams not getting out of the pits in the two laps will have to fall to the tail of the field and will risk losing laps. As in the past, teams will only be allowed to change a maximum of two tires per yellow.
The race will pay $16,000 to the winner. There are also several opportunities for contingency bonuses, including $6,000 in lap leader money.
