Special from Speed51.com – A big night of racing is scheduled for Wednesday, June 9 at the Berlin Raceway with the Money in the Bank 150 along with the Reveal The Hammer Outlaw Super Late Models.  Now in its fifth edition, the Money in the Bank has become a marquee race with a single day show paying $10,000 to win.

The Money in the Bank 150 at Berlin Raceway will take place on Wednesday, June 9, offering $10,000 to win as a one-night show for Super Late Models.

Former Money in the Bank winners Brian Campbell and Carson Hocevar lead off the list of entries going after the big payday.  Campbell won the event in 2018 and 2019, while Hocevar is the defending race winner and is currently leading the Rookie of the Year standings in the NASCAR Truck Series.

A pair of stars from outside the Midwest will be making the trip to Michigan and the tricky 7/16ths mile.  Stephen Nasse enters the event fresh off a win and a runner-up over the weekend at Five Flags and Montgomery, while Short Track Draft No. 1 overall pick Derek Griffith will visit Berlin for the first time.

Following a big win in the Little 500 Memorial Day weekend, Tyler Roahrig will be pulling double-duty in the Money in the Bank and Reveal The Hammer race.  He won his first Template Super Late Model race at Berlin last September driving for Lee VanDyk.

Kody Swanson picked up a Super Late Model win at Berlin back in May and will look to do the same Wednesday night.  Reigning ARCA Menards Series West champion Jesse Love is also entered with Wimmer Motorsports.

Marquee names taking part in Wednesday’s race include Brian Campbell, Carson Hocevar, Stephen Nasse, Derek Griffith, Tyler Roahrig and Kody Swanson.

A heavy local contingent will look to keep the trophy and money in West Michigan, led by current Berlin Raceway points leader Joe Bush.  Other local favorites include former track champions Tom Thomas and Nate Walton, Eric White, Samantha Stuart, Evan Shotko, Blake Rowe, Brian Tillema, Will Olmstead, Trevor McCoy and Lauren Bush-Sokoloski.

Eastsiders Jeff Vrsek, Kevin Cremonesi and Michael Simko will head west for Wednesday’s show.  Kyle Crump will do double-duty in both the Template and Outlaw car.  Also entered are Mason Keller, Albert Francis and Steve Dorer.

Reveal The Hammer will kick off the week with their first of two races in a three-day stretch, before heading to Birch Run Speedway for The Big One.  Along with Roahrig, Steve Needles leads the field of wedge-bodied warriors fresh off his second Kalamazoo Klash victory last Friday night.

Former track champion Brian Bergakker and longtime Berlin favorite Mike Root will each make their first Reveal The Hammer starts.  Longtime veteran and past Summer Sizzler and Glass City 200 winner JR Roahrig will be in search of his first win.

Defending Kalamazoo Speedway track champion Adam Terry and former M40 Speedway track champion Doug True will head north up U.S. 131.  Brandyn Ross, Rick Hahn, Austin Davis, Michael Thayer and Shawn Amor will make the trip from the South Bend area.

Ohio young gun Brandon Short will make his first Berlin start in a team car to Needles.  Hayden Sprague, Chris Benson and Craig Everage will represent the Flat Rock Speedway area, while Brian Maxim will remain close to home for Wednesday night’s race.
