Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks Back on the High Banks of Winchester Speedway Sunday
Salem, IN (September 1, 2021) – The Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks Powered by JEGS will be back in action this Sunday on the historic High Banks of Winchester Speedway, located in Winchester, Indiana as part of the Vore’s Welding & Steel King of the Highbanks Weekend Presented by JEGS. Sunday’s 40 lap feature event will be the second of three races the series will have at Winchester Speedway in 2021. The Vore’s Welding & Steel King of the Highbanks Weekend will also feature racing from the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance and the Vores Compact Tour series on Saturday. The King of the Highbanks 150 for the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS will take place on Sunday.
Saturday’s event will be the ninth event of the season for the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks. Jason Atkinson got the win in the series season points opener on April 17th at Anderson Speedway. Chuck Barnes Sr. won a special non-points series event at Salem Speedway on April 25th. Atkinson got the win in the Four Crown event at Shadybowl Speedway. Chuck Barnes Jr. picked up the win in the series event at Salem Speedway on May 15th. Atkinson won the next three events including the Four Crown event at Winchester Speedway on June 6th, the series event at Mt. Lawn Speedway on June 13th and the third Four Crown event of the season at Anderson Speedway on June 26th. Brett Hudson got his first series win of the 2021 season at the Four Crown Championship event at Anderson Speedway on August 14th, Atkinson won the Four Crown Championship.
With his five wins and two second place finishes in the series seven-point events this season, Atkinson comes into Saturday night’s event as the series season points leader and is locked into the Chase for the Championship final four as the series Regular Season Champion. The other Chase for the Championship drivers competing for the final three spots to race for the series Championship at Winchester Speedway on Saturday, October 16th includes Andrew Teepe, Jordan Hahn, leading series rookie Dawson Phillips, fellow rookie Kimmie Grieg, Josh Poore and Frankie Oakes.
There will be three optional open practice sessions for the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks on Saturday at Winchester Speedway. On Sunday pits open at 11:30am. There is a 30-minute practice session for the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks at 1:30pm, followed by a second 30-minute session at 2:30pm. Allstar Performance Qualifying for the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks will begin at 4pm. The race program will begin at 6pm with the Van Hoy Oil Street Stocks 40-lap feature followed by the King of the Highbanks 150 Presented by JEGS for the ARCA/CRA Super Series. Fireworks by Scarette Pyrotechnics will be featured after the nights racing action.
